uberShader
Prior to this being introduced, the artists would preview their assets in 3dsMax with whichever material they felt like at the time, only having an idea of what their assets would look like in-engine after doing the export-import dance with Unreal.
This uberShader was developed to match our various in-engine uberShaders, so that the artists would be able to create their assets with the [close-to-]final look always available.
The scripted plugin expanded on the uberShader, automating numerous procedures, such as finding and auto-loading textures, and also provides quick access to various preview options, such as diffuse-only, or viewing world normals.
